Many Americans had President's Day off yesterday. I know I did. This means we all had an extra long weekend. Perhaps many people slept in a little more than usual, had some downtime with family, got caught up on their to-do list, and relaxed a little. Was it enough relaxation for people to be naturally harmonious and affectionate? Well, I believe if there's any day this week when this fortune could be true, it would have the best chance of being true today!
On Saturday, my wife took the girls shopping and then to have pain inflicted upon their eyebrows. While they were out, I took my son for lunch. We had burgers, went bowling, and spent a gazillion dollars in the arcade. On Sunday, it snowed and we stayed indoors working on art projects and playing video games. Yesterday, I finally got caught up on work stuff and practiced my electric guitar for five hours until my hands hurt.
Today, I feel great. I'm just about finished writing today's cookie, my wife is already up and making coffee, and I'm looking forward to going into the office. I'm planning to drive a little slower on the highway this morning, and I will look for an opportunity to do something nice for someone whom I don't know.
