Right As Rain.

When The Matrix first came out, we saw it three times at the drive-in movie theater. One of the most memorable scenes is when Neo visits the Oracle. He steps into her cozy, slightly cluttered kitchen, where she’s baking cookies with a grandmotherly warmth. As Neo wrestles with his fate, the Oracle, without much concern, tells him he’s not the One. Neo, expecting a grand revelation, is completely thrown off. She then explains that he’ll face an impossible decision, where either he or Morpheus will die, and he’ll have to choose who. The air in the room grows heavier as the weight of this revelation sinks in.

Then, to ease the tension, she hands him a warm cookie, saying, "By the time you’re done eating it, you’ll feel right as rain." It’s such a small gesture, offering a little comfort to the burden he now carries. That cookie represents more than a snack. It’s a quiet reminder not to overthink the bigger questions, to trust the process even when the answers remain unclear. In a film filled with mind-bending moments, this scene stands out because even during life-altering decisions, something as simple as a warm cookie can offer a brief moment of peace.
